Self-supporting stairs

Such stairs do not require concrete stairs as a base. They work wonderfully in the arrangement of open spaces in living rooms. They play an important decorative role, and sometimes are a dominant motif in the final interior design and space arrangement in a specific style. Among them, we can distinguish:

Stringer stairs

This type of stairs construction stands out with the presence of supporting side panels, called stringers, on which the stair treads rest. They work well in classic interior arrangements, but also provide the opportunity to arrange spaces in an industrial, loft style. Stringers can be made of wood or steel.

Runner stairs

This type of stairs is most valued and most often chosen for arranging homes in modern styles. The stair construction gives the impression of floating in the air, and the wood adds a warm accent to raw minimalist interiors. The stairs often have thicker treads than other types of ready-made wooden stairs.

Open stairs

This construction, which gives the interior lightness, is one of the popular products for homes where proper room lighting matters. The lack of risers allows for the initiation of a specific play of lights and shadows created by the openwork of the stairs.

Single-flight stairs

Characterized by being straight and running in one direction.

Double-flight stairs with a landing

A landing, also known as a half-floor, can change the direction of these stairs. They are extremely popular where there is plenty of space and among older people. These are simple stairs with each tread having the same width.

Winding stairs

In this layout, instead of a landing, there are steps of varying widths. In a top view, you can see triangular or trapezoidal-shaped steps on the turn. They do not take up much space.
